The Golden Ring

What would happen it you found a magical gold ring? After playing with it you discovered that if turned in a certain direction you would become invisible.
In Plato’s Republic there is a story about a person called Gyges. Gyges found such a ring. At the time and place where he lived it was very difficult to get messages to the king. Messengers with messages about them going to the king in enemy territory did not have very long life spans.
So Gyges was trusted to take a message to the king because he could do so in an invisible state.
When Gyges arrived, he seduced the Queen, and with her help over through the King and gained control of the kingdom.
Would you change in anyway if you found such a ring. Now that you could do whatever you wanted without fear of being found out or punishment, would you remain the same you?
There is an axiom about being given supernatural powers. It will be granted to you as long as you don’t abuse it.
Indian gurus, Tibetan monks, and others have true magical powers. But they also posess the strength to resist abusing it.
Their morals are flawless. Their ambitions non-existent. They truly care for others. ALL others.
Where are your morals at? Where is your strength at. Where is your compassion at?
Again I ask you, would the ring change you?

Fuck ya it would. Who could resist being rich, famous and adversary free?
My problem with having that ring would be an inclination to help people. Allow me to exxplain.
A Doctor of Phylosophy taught me this o a flight.
A man went to the tiolet and notice a spider struggling in the bowl to survive.
The next day the man notiice the same thing, ‘rescued’ him and sat him on the floor.
The next day the man notice that the spider was dead beside the bowl.
Lessons anyone? Dont interfere with what is naturally going on.
